Play Sense awarded Most Innovative In-Home Early Learning Solution Provider

Corporate Vision Magazine has announced the winners of the 2020 Education & Training Awards 2020. Play Sense was awarded Most Innovative In-Home Early Learning Solution Provider – South Africa for its progressive, hybrid-learning program designed to develop super skills such as self-regulation, creativity and problem solving in 2 to 4-year olds.

They say that learning lasts a lifetime and business leaders of every industry can attest to the fact that lifelong learning is one of the keys to lasting success and ongoing professional development. Of course, the building blocks for later success are nurtured in childhood. Soft skills, personality, outlook, ethos, drive, and ambition are all rooted in early life. The role of an educator then, is fundamental to the fabric of our society. When education is exemplary, it can determine the progression of a nation.

Corporate Vision Magazine, a division of AI Global Media, launched the Education & Training Awards to shine a light on the paragons of education and training.  In a world forever changed by the COVID-19 pandemic, winners were carefully selected as champions of innovation and best practice across 13 industries.

Play Sense’s imaginary play-based curriculum is delivered by certified Play Sense teachers, either online or in-home micro-playschools. The program focuses on a young child’s sensory and emotional development as the foundation for all other learning. Founded by two Occupational Therapists, Play Sense is re-imagining early childhood education with a presence in South Africa, the UK and US.

Play Sense co-founder, renowned author and parenting expert, Meg Faure said: “We are delighted to be recognised as a disruptor of early childhood education. Our program is designed to meet the developmental needs of very young children to prepare them for an ever-changing world.”

Play Sense’s ethos and proven model of play-based learning at home is creating new opportunities for teachers, too. “Play Sense empowers teachers to run their own micro-playschools and have more flexibility and control of their income. We are truly leading the way for the future of teaching and learning and we want to invite teachers to come along with us,” concluded Faure.

Play Sense is hosting a webinar aimed at teachers, therapists, and childminders whereby Play Sense co-founders will explore new ECD teaching opportunities. The webinar is free to attend, interested parties are invited to register here:  https://enroll.playsense.org/teacherwebinar_september

Awards Coordinator Chloe Smart commented: “From early learning, to adult education, all who make contributions to this vital sector are recognised in the Education and Training programme. I am proud to offer all of my winners my congratulations and best wishes for the future.”
