Yes I know, more cute dad videos but I just can’t ever get enough. There is nothing more gorgeous and heart warming than a dad that gets down to his kids level to play. I just love all the daddy moments in my home and I have seen my husband being so tolerant and good natured when it comes to my daughter wanting to do him up with make up.

Here’s to all the great dads out there!

? Big up to all the responsible dad’s especially those who make time to bond with their children.

  2. Oh this is so cool congradulations dads

  3. @lynne – I LOVE this. I am very fortunate to have a dad like this for my little girl. Even since we split up he has been an extremely hands on father. My little one does the make up and the hair. (Dad draws the line at painted nails though)
I do want to share a thing they do that had me laughing so badly, the first time I saw it. They play girl Spiderman, obviously my little one is “girl Spiderman” and it doesn’t matter how much her Dad tries to change it to Spidergirl or Spiderlady, my little one is adamant that its Girl Spiderman lol
The first time I saw this, I could hear the commotion of a superhero defeating a villain in the bedroom, when she heard me, she came running out screaming “MOM I’m Girl Spiderman”. What I saw next, finished me. Out came my daughter, with a sword and a pink pair of her panties over her head. The leg holes being the out cuts for her eyes. She honestly looked like a pink Spiderman. Daddy certainly improvised lol After I managed to pull myself together, with tears streaming down my face, I asked just one question: “Please tell me they clean?” Thankfully, they were lol.

OMG @tamara737 that is so funny. You know what? Dads just do things differently and they manage to get so silly and have so much fun with the kids.
I am so glad that things appear to have worked out ok with you and your ex. I think the last time we properly spoke you were struggling in your marriage and about to split? Time can really help so much with this sort of thing. I hope you are both happy and making new lives for yourselves while coming together to co-parent.
Yeah funny my hubby also draws the line at nail polish! Maybe because it is not so easy to wipe off?

  4. @lynne, you couldn’t be more right lol, Dads really do have a different way of doing things. Its so awesome!! Even when it comes down to the fact that Dad is more fun and mom is the “serious” one who dishes out discipline Haha!! Although, i wouldn’t have it any other way, I had and still have a very complicated relationship with my Father, so watching my little one bonding with her Dad and building an air tight bond really makes my heart really happy.
Things have indeed worked out for my Baby Daddy and myself, needless to say it confuses EVERYONE we know, but we know our boundaries and it really works for us. (I wont lie – it was extremely difficult to get to this point)
Thankfully, we both wanted what was best for our daughter and we both knew that above it all, she had to come first. We are truly blessed 🙂
Regarding the nail polish, I think you right. not so easy as jumping in the shower and voila 😛 Therefore in our case it might be there for a day or two 🙂

    • If it confuses other people that is fine, as long as it is working well for you and him and of course your child then that is all that matters. Having a close bond even though you are not married anymore will benefit your child so much!

Re: the nail polish yes I think that is it, and maybe they worry there is no nail polish remover hahaa.

  5. If i may add Being a new father…just a few pointers in my parent journey sofar! Watching the video and its to all the dads out there.

Most dads (myself) sometime think I made a huge mistake. It must be normal every now and then to secretly wonder why you ever had a kid in the first place. Forgive yourself these occasional moments of self-doubt and, from time to time, let yourself mourn your pre-parenthood life. These moments will be short-lived.

I was so intimidated by the idea of travelling when our boy was an infant, but that was, in fact, the best time to hit the road. At three months old, a bottle is all that’s required to keep him entertained.

It’s perfectly acceptable to make an entire dinner in the microwave. That’s it. I was making a few…

    Act like a grown-up.

Hand-me-downs are more than okay. It saves alot of money as you dont even use half the stuff you buy for your babies right or wrong?

Make time for the other relationships in your life.
Not only is it important for your child to know there’s more to the world than you catering to their every need, but you’re also teaching them a very important lesson about what it means to have a full, loving life. Seeing you in the role of good friend or devoted spouse is a way for your kids to learn what it means to actually be a good friend or devoted spouse.

There’s no such thing as using too many wipes. LOL if i use a whole pack on one nappy change so be it!! I must admit the nappy time i try to avoid because of the mess i make.

Bonding with my son very important every single moment i get we bond…i want to take responsibility and be a good father.
