Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat was designed to grow with your child in three stages! Children who are 5 to 40 pounds, with a height of 19 to 40 inches, can face the rear, while 22 to 65 pounds with a height of 29 to 49 inches can be front facing. And children who are between 40 to 100 pounds with a height of 43 to 52 inches tall can utilize the car seat as a booster seat. The seat comes with a lumbar support pillow, as well as a head supported pillow. Both are essential for supporting an infant in the car seat. These both can be removed, as when children are older, they will not necessarily need them.

Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat Features
One of the greatest features on this car seat is the car seat pad that can be taken off. I know as well as any parent that children are messy with the foods they eat. It is convenient for older toddlers and preschoolers to have a snack in the car on the way home from daycare or when traveling across long distances. And chances are, if they are eating in the car, they will undoubtedly spill some. The car seat pad removes easily from the seat, and is machine washable. It can also be dried in the dryer.
The seat features built in harness holders for the rear facing and forward facing options. The harness will be kept in an open position with these holders. This helps get your child in and out of the car fast. I appreciate this, as most mornings are hectic, and we often run late. Knowing your child can be quickly placed in a seat and taken out is very reassuring. It is also great for others who may be helping you, such as daycare providers who are nice enough to buckle and unbuckle children into their car seats.
A feature that many will appreciate is the extra leg room. When the convertible car seat is rear facing, there are up to 7 additional inches of leg room for parents in the front seat.
This seat has a lifespan of 10 years. Should you have any crash, it is recommended to replace it right away. The Grow and Go is FFA approved when used as a harnessed seat. The use of this as a booster seat is not FFA approved as it can’t be used on an airplane due to them requiring lap/shoulder belts.
Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat Pros
One of the biggest pros of the Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat is the cost. If you are not planning on using a convertible car seat, over the course of your child’s car seat years, you will need to purchase three different car seats. This can be very costly for parents. A convertible car seat may cost a bit more upfront, but the seat will last until your child no longer needs to be in a booster seat.
I love that this car seat can recline. This is a huge plus in my book, as it allows your child to be comfortable. The three positions this seat sits in are straight up and down, to a 45-degree angle, with one setting in between these two. As a safety measure, there is a level on the side of the car seat that shows the height of the reclined seat, as well as if it is safe for your child or not.
Money is often an issue when you have children. Everyone wants the best for their children, but with that often comes a steep price tag. This is not the case with the Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat. A huge pro for many is that the car seat is very affordable to begin with, and once you realize you are essentially getting three seats in one, that makes it even a better value.
Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat Cons
One of the biggest cons that I have found with the Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat is that a parent may have trouble fitting this seat into their car if they drive a compact vehicle. Many have found that this car seat is also too bulky for their liking. This car seat will not work with vehicles that have bucket seats.
The cup holders on this car seat are not removable. This is not a deal breaker for me, as I do not feel that they are bothersome to clean. I believe that wiping them out with a wet washcloth and soapy water, then disinfecting with a wipe is an easy way to clean the cup holders in this seat. Some parents feel they are positioned too high on the seat, which makes it difficult for children to get into and out of the car seat.
One huge safety concern I have is the adjustments that need to be made to the seat when an infant uses it. When having to make the adjustments each time the seat is used, there is a great chance of not using it correctly. A parent has to be spot on with these adjustments in order to keep baby safe.
Summary
I truly hope this article provided good insight on the Safety 1st Grow and Go 3 In 1 Convertible Car Seat. This car seat can be a lifesaver when it comes to saving money in the long run as it grows with the child, which is great for any parent. Children can be expensive, but this car seat can be used for many years to get the most bang for your buck!

NICU is a world on its on- it’s own time zones/laws/ citizens and rules. My DS was there for just 5 days but it felt like the longest 5 days of my life.
This car seat is absolutely beautiful but I got the more compact car seat that can fit in my car and easy to put in and take out. You right if you ha e a smaller car this is not suitable… More so cup holders not removable.
