LG REDEFINES THE WASHING MACHINE WITH THE LAUNCH OF ITS TWINWash™ IN SOUTH AFRICA
Legacy of Innovation in Laundry Continues with the Revolutionary TWINWash Technology
Johannesburg, 18 May 2018 – Today, LG launched its latest innovation in its home appliances division, the TWINWash™ washing machine. This revolutionary product now enables consumers to experience what people all over the world have been longing for: the ability to simultaneously wash two separate loads of laundry at once.
With both a main washer and mini-washer that can be operated independently or simultaneously, the TWINWash™ enables users to wash laundry items which require separate settings, such as colours and whites, normal and delicate items, large and small items in addition to clothing for adults and children. Furthermore, the TWINWash™ significantly reduces washing time by allowing for two loads to be cleaned simultaneously – completing both wash cycles in just 49 minutes1.

The top loader boasts a 12kg wash capacity and the mini-washer has 2kg capacity, perfect for a quick wash of delicate clothing,” said Sulette Jacobs, Assistant Product Manager for Home Appliances.
In addition to the powerful main front load washer and convenient mini-washer, the washing machine comes with LG’s efficient Eco-hybrid dryer function, providing consumers with the ultimate all-in-one solution as well as a washer / dryer that meets their everyday laundry needs.
The TWINWash™ main washer uses an array of advanced technologies such as TrueSteam™ and TurboWash™ to provide a powerful washing performance. In fact, one of the most innovative technologies utilized by the main washing machine is TrueSteam™, which penetrates fabrics with steam to eliminate 99.9 percent of household allergens as well as wrinkles and odours all while softening and refreshing clothing. The TrueSteam™ produces real steam with its steam generator. The powerful TurboWash™ minimizes washing time by using powerful jet spray and filtration to disperse concentrated detergent directly onto the clothes inside. Meanwhile, the main washer is capable of handling any late additions to laundry loads – no matter the size – with its convenient Add Item feature.
With fully equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, the TWINWash™ allows users to easily control and monitor the appliance from anywhere as well as download wash cycles via the Download Cycle feature, track energy use through the Energy Monitoring feature, and diagnose any problems by opening the Smart Diagnosis™ program on a connected device.
“The TWINWash™ now affords our users to minimise time spent doing the laundry and to maximise the time spent doing the things that really matter,” concludes Jacobs.

Was fab to see the TWINWash and Instaview Door-in-door fridge up close and personal.
We had such fun giggling about how we don’t bother to separate our light and dark washing. Having said that, I definitely see the value of the TWINWash… I’m thinking of all the pink-ish items I have in my cupboard that once were white. My love of all things RED has had to morph into a love of pink undies. Hehehe.
