Most kids love nothing better than painting, making a mess, and making things. So why not make your own paint? It’s cheaper than buying it in stores and it is made from only four ingredients that you will already have in your home. It is a fun activity that you can do with your kids.
Make Your Own Paint
Making your own paint with your child is lots of fun and it will provide your child will an extra activity, keep her busy, and save you money in the long run. Since it is made from all natural ingredients it is also non-toxic and safe for your child.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- Food Colouring
Method
Simple, just mix it all up! We stored it in tomato sauce bottles, making it easy to pour, use, and store.

Lots of fun Mandy, and it costs next to nothing! Plus it is safe for them to eat…. not exactly tasty but it isn’t dangerous or toxic!
