Cape Town Aquarium at V & A Waterfront – What A Pleasure

At the beginning of the April school holidays we took our kids for a day trip to the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town at the V & A Waterfront. We had an amazing day and my kids were so taken by all the ocean life, especially the sharks!

If you are in Cape Town or if you visit Cape Town with your kids I highly recommend that you take them there for a visit! It is an enjoyable place to stroll around with so much to see and so much for my kids to learn. They were so full of questions and delight.

The Two Oceans Aquarium is open daily from 09h30 until 18h00 and tickets cost as follows:

  • R175 for adults
  • R130 for teenagers 14 to 17 years old
  • R85 for children aged 4 to 13 years old
  • Free for children under 4 years old
  • R130 for Pensioners and Students

    Thanks for the review Lynne.

This looks like the perfect family outing.

I always see the beautiful aquarium’s on television and would love to visit one of them sometime. JD will love an expedition like this.

The closest that we’ve come to live fish is the Koi pond at the local Jock and Java and he was mesmerized with the fish. πŸ™‚

I must say, the prices are very reasonable. We visited an aquarium many years ago and I remember the outdoor shows with the dolphins and other animals. I wonder if this Aquarium offers the same services.

We’ll be going down to George in December and I hope that we’ll be doing some fun family outings similar to this.

Just thinking about the beach and the seaside makes me joyful all over. I haven’t been to the Sea in so many years and this will be our first family vacation together. Exciting times ahead.
