Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller Review

The Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller

The Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller is a fantastic stroller. I love using it because it is so easy to push. I adore going for walks with my children, but hate pushing a stroller that is heavy! With this lightweight stroller, I am able to go further distances, which is refreshing for many reasons. My health is improving because I can take more steps on my walk. I am getting fresh air and spending time
in nature, as are my children. And I am spending quality time with my babies, which is a great feeling.

Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller Features

One of the most amazing features on the Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller is the canopy. The pop out visor on the canopy helps protect your baby from 99.9% of the sun’s harmful rays! Yes, you read that right. Almost 100% of UVA and UVB rays are blocked from baby. I live in a very sunny climate, so to have this feature is great. I am very worried about my children’s skin, but having this visor makes me feel that I am better protecting their fragile skin.

A feature that makes diaper changes easy is the reclining option. When reclined, the stroller can lay nearly flat, which makes it easy to change a diaper without having to find a spot to lay the child down. Children can also nap when the stroller is reclined, which makes a great option for my baby when we are at the park and the older children are playing.

I love the cup holder on this stroller. I am a fan of taking water with me on my walks. This cup holder allows me the convenience to do so without having to worry about spilling it. You can also use the cup holder for your baby’s bottle, a sippy cup, or even a bottle of sunscreen.

Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller Pros

The Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller has tons of storage. There is an extra large basket underneath the stroller perfect for large diaper bags or purses. It can easily hold up to 10 pounds. I have used this basket to hold snacks for the older children. I have even stowed a small cooler there with a picnic lunch for an extended trip to the playground. There is also a storage pocket on the top of the canopy that has a Velcro closure. This is perfect for my cell phone or my keys.

The stroller has a 5-point safety harness that will adjust to 3-height positions as my baby grows. I also appreciate, as does my little one, the thick padding that is used. My child will always be comfortable whether we are on a walk, or he is taking a nap during a playground date. The stroller will accommodate a child that weighs up to 50 pounds. It has anti-shock wheels with lockable rear wheels, which is great for when my little is sleeping, or we take a break from walking. I also appreciate that it has a large seat, which makes my child more comfortable.

There is lots of room for his safety blanket he carries and a stuffed animal or other small toy for him to cuddle with. I love how easy this stroller is to fold up. I just lift the rear handle, push down on the foot lever, and fold it down. It has a carrying strap, which makes it convenient if traveling with this stroller. The stroller weighs less than 13 pounds and is not bulky like many of the other strollers on the market. The stroller is very compact once folded up. I have tossed the stroller in the trunk of the car on several occasions, such as to ball games, family reunions, and camping trips.

The stroller also comes in many colors. These color choices include black, tropical green, Caribbean blue, hibiscus pink, tangerine, and citrus. I have the Caribbean blue, and my friend has the tropical green. This feature is great for when we have play dates at the playground, as we can easily tell the strollers apart, as can all of our children.

Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller Cons

The brakes on the Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller can be tricky to use. Both sides must be pressed in when using the brakes. I have found that the brakes can be difficult to release if I am not wearing decent shoes.

I also have trouble accessing the storage basket if the seat is reclined all the way back. This is usually not an issue to place the seat in an upright position, unless baby is sleeping.

When I am on walks or headed to the playground with my children, the terrain is pretty even. The stroller performs exceptionally well on the flat surface. A month ago, I did a 5K walk and took one of my children. A few blocks of the path were very rocky and uneven. Thus, the stroller did not perform the way it has on even ground. I would not recommend the stroller to be used on uneven surfaces, as the wheels were quite wobbly and it was hard to navigate the stroller.

Summary

I truly hope this review of the Summer Infant 3d Lite Convenience Stroller has helped you see if this stroller will be a great fit for you and your child. It has been a lifesaver for me. It is lightweight to push, has ample room for storage, comes in great color choices, but most importantly, keeps my child safe, happy and content when we go for stroller rides.
