My Old Boys Cafe Review
My husband and I went to Old Boys Cafe for a week day lunch for our May date and I loved it. There is such a nice, intimate vibe. The food is beautifully prepared and well priced, and the staff are friendly and professional.
My husband and I both had the bacon, egg, and cheese toasted sandwiches with chips, and a cappuccino. I loved that the toasted sandwich was made with ciabatta bread, and the chips were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Chips are a big thing in our family.
The cappuccino was perfect and served in a big Old Boys Cafe branded mug.
The weekend after our date we went back with our kids to treat them to waffles. My kids loved their waffles that were served with chocolate sauce and two hug spoons of ice cream.
This is definitely a spot I’m going to visit often. They have wifi available and a generator, so if its loadshedding I can work there while having a lovely coffee. It is just around the corner from where my kids take the bus to school, and super close to the library.
The small milkshakes are only R25 making is a super cheap place for me to take my kids for a quick treat after school. They also have regular specials, check out their Facebook page to keep up to date.
If you are looking for a nice spot to eat out in Velddrif I highly recommend checking out Old Boys Cafe.
