Deep Tissue Botanical Oil

African Secret Deep Tissue Botanical Oil Review Plus Giveaway

I love essential oils and natural products. In 2021 I collaborated with African Secret to review some of the products in their range, so I am super stoked to collaborate with them again! They have lovely new packaging for their range and sent me a number of their products to try out – Deep Tissue Botanical Oil, Rooibos Hand & Body Wash, Marula Oil, Hand & Surface Sanitiser, and Marula Cuticle Oil.

I’m slowly working through each of the products, but the one that caught my eye immediately is the Deep Tissue Botanical Oil because I’ve been upping my fitness game and with it comes aches and pains.

African Secret’s deep tissue botanical oil is made from locally sourced, plant-based ingredients that are known to relieve inflammation and pain. The ingredients include extracts of Peppermint and Rosemary.

My Review

This year I’ve been very focused on getting fit again and I’ve picked up running. The last time I was running regularly was over 25 years ago, so it’s been a process getting into it and I’m clearly not the same person I was half a century ago!  The last time I attempted running a few years back I got shin splints which is very painful and gave up.

I’m currently running three times a week and I can manage a distance of 4 kilometres. It is going very well since I started off incredibly slowly and didn’t push myself or get injured. However, my knees have been aching and at times I can feel little aches and pains all over my body as I adjust to regular exercise.

I’ve been using the Deep Tissue Botanical Oil twice a day for close on two weeks and what a difference! My knees are no longer aching at at all and when I apply it to another area that is sore it quickly soothes the pain and I’m feeling amazing very quickly. I love how the oil rubs gets absorbed quickly into my skin and the peppermint fragrance is superb. The bottle is gorgeous and the push dispenser makes it easy and convenient to get the oil out.

I’m going to start going to the gym soon to add some muscle building exercises to my cardio workouts and I know that this tissue oil is going to be a lifesaver for me.

If you love natural products and supporting local as much as I do this is a fantastic product to help ease aches and pains.

Very inspiring, I am also trying to get back into running after a couple of years with limited (to no) exercise!

    • That’s awesome Christel. For the first few weeks I did not push myself at all. I did a mixture of walking and running and slowing increased the running. I did my first 10km run last week so I’m super chuffed with my progress.
