Kids Eating Breakfast

Breakfast Is The Most Important Meal Of The Day

There are many great reasons to ensure that you and your children eat breakfast every morning, there is a reason why it is called the most important meal of the day. If you want your children to grow up with healthy eating patterns and to get the best start to their day make sure that they eat breakfast every morning.

Breakfast Is The Most Important Part Of The Day

Physical Energy For The Day

Let’s face it kids are active people and they need energy to get through the day, especially children that are going to be at school for a long period of time. Break times are short and very often young children get so distracted with playing that they don’t make eating all their food a priority.

To ensure that your children have enough energy to get through the day it is best to make sure that they have plenty to eat in the morning before taking them to school, especially if they have sports or other extra mural activities after school.

Brainpower Boost

It’s not only children’s bodies that need energy for the day, their brains need that energy boost too. Having breakfast will have a positive impact on your child’s mental performance, including attention, memory and ability to focus.

Children who eat breakfast regularly will find it easier to perform well academically at school in comparison to those children who skip breakfast.

Having Breakfast Helps You Make Healthier Food Choices

Research has shown that people who eat breakfast are more likely to have healthier eating patterns. They are less likely to feel hungry and snack on unhealthy food options during the day.

People that eat breakfast are less likely to become overweight. It is thought that this is because eating breakfast helps you to avoid fluctuations in blood glucose levels which helps to control appetite and having breakfast makes sure that you don’t get too hungry which helps to avoid grabbing unhealthy foods to fill up on.
