It was a very busy but fun week behind the scenes 17 June 2022 – my kids and I went to Cape Town for an action-packed weekend and my husband came back from Thailand and the Philippines on Wednesday.

Trip To Cape Town
My kids and I had a great weekend away in Cape Town staying at my sister. It was a busy weekend with loads of fun. When we arrived on Friday evening we went out for pizza and milkshakes at Camel Rock Restaurant in Scarborough.
On Saturday morning we met up with my friend and her daughter at Imhoff Farm in Kommetjie. There were bunnies, ponies, goats, sheep, cows and more. It was R20 to get in and R10 to feed the animals.

We had breakfast at Blue Water Cafe then fed the animals at Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard.
We then went to check out Virtual Portal Cafe, my friend’s hubby’s new virtual reality gaming business. My kids absolutely loved it!

On Saturday afternoon we went for a walk to Venus Pools in Cape Point Nature Reserve. It is a beautiful place with rock pools that are teeming with life.

On Sunday morning we had a big vegan breakfast with my sister at her house then we left for Bounce World in Milnerton, meeting up with Lauren Kinghorn and her son. Take note that I used The Entertainer to get two for one at Bounce World – more info on The Entertainer further down this post.
After Bounce World we made a quick coffee stop at Judy from Fun Mamma SA before heading home.
Needless to say I was bombed and slept through my alarm on Monday morning resulting in my kids being late for school for the first time.

Ordered New Handbag With Ysense Earnings!
I’m so excited about the handbag I’ve ordered from Amazon – it’s a lovely crossbody bag. I love my old handbag but I am so tired of the short handles and having my bag slide off my shoulder when I’m out and about so I decided it is time for a new one. I love shopping on Amazon because there is such a wide variety of products and I can always find exactly what I want.

I love making income in a variety of ways and one of these ways is through completing online surveys and offers, and playing games. There are so many apps online that make huge claims about making money online, a lot of them are complete scams and so many are timewasters.
I’ve found that there are a few really nice apps that are legit and pay out. Check them out below.

SurveyTime is another great way to make money through Surveys – most surveys pay $1, however some are only $0.50. What I love about SurveyTime is that you get paid out immediately to Paypa, Amazon giftcard or Coinbase. There is not waiting to earn enough to reach a required cashout amount or requesting a cashout and waiting a few days for it. Click here to join SurveyTime.
Sweatcoin is a fun app that pays you to walk. When you walk you earn Sweatcoins and you can cash out your Sweatcoins for offers on the app. They are launching SWEAT crypto in the next few months, if you sign up to earn SWEAT crypto you earn SWEAT as you earn Sweatcoins. CashPiggy is quite a nice survey app – you earn points for completing surveys and you can also earn 10 points a day within the app which makes it worthwhile logging in every day. You can redeem your points for Paypal cash or an Amazon giftcard once you have 250 points. App Flame is an app where you can earn from playing games. You earn points for playing games and you can cash out these points for money via Pyapal. Join using my link and you will receive 1800 coins as a start-up bonus.
Shopping Apps (Vouchers, Cashback) – SnapnSave, BuySmart, PanelSmart, ibottit, Entertainer, Hyperli
Prices are souring and the cost of grocery shopping has gone through the roof this year, so I’ve really gotten into making use of cashback shopping apps and apps that pay out in various other ways such as vouchers.
My all time favourite shopping app is SnapnSave – they offer cash back for buying certain products. There are always new offers and some of them are incredible! I’ve earned back over R1000 in cash back since February this year since I joined. Check out my SnapnSave review.
BuySmart works on Whatsapp and rewards you for buying Tiger Brands products. Sign up by sending a WhatsApp message saying “Hi” to BuySmart on 072 897 6278.
PanelSmart rewards you for sharing your shopping habits by recording all your grocery purchases. Sign up for PanelSmart and they will contact you to discuss how it works and approve your application.
Another great shopping app is ibottit. You submit your till slips through their app and each till slip that is approved earns you 20 points. There are also sometimes quick surveys that earn you 50 points per survey. You can cash your points out for various offers on the app. You need a minimum of 500 points needed to cashout. 500 points is equal to R50. The rewards change all the time – I’ve seen vouchers for Takealot, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Sorbet and more.
The Entertainer is a fantastic app that gives special offers on a variety of things including meals, activities, beauty, travel, and more. There are loads of two for one deals. I’ve gone for a few massages over the years with a friend or my husband and only paid for one. It is a paid app, however if you are with FNB like me you can get it for free through the FNB app.
Hyperli is another app that offers fantastic specials. I’ve downloaded it and checked out the offers but not made use of it myself yet. It looks very similar to The Entertainer except that it is free which is great for those that don’t use FNB.

LOL yes you got that right! I needed a weekend to recover after my weekend 🙂 Imhoff Farm really was a winner for all of us. The breakfast was divine and we all loved Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard. It’s the perfect place to go for a morning out with kids.
It pains me to say this Lynne but you live a very exciting life compared to my dull one lol and I’m in my 20’s! You seem like you had a fabulous time in Cape Town with your sister 🙂 and that cute bunny at the farm lol

Honestly my life is not usually so exciting! It is usually just the kids going to school, me working from home and on weekends we spend time on the beach or sometimes we go for a hike… But when we go into Cape Town I try and fit as much as possible in since there is not much excitement here in the West Coast!

I don’t always qualify with SurveyTime but the big difference is that I get kicked out quickly, sometimes with Ysense you go quite a bit into the survey before you get kicked out which gets really frustrating! It’s such a pity that Ysense is not working on your phone! Are you trying with the app or have you tried logging onto their website through your phone? It might be the app that is not compatible with your phone and maybe it will work if you go directly onto their website?
I got a bit woozy with the VR after about 10 or 15 minutes – the kids could have gone on for hours though!
I really want to use Wuhu but when I tried to register they said my phone number and email are blacklisted! I have sent 2 emails and received no response and I tried to contact them via Facebook but there is no option to inbox their page so I left a comment on one of their posts and asked for help…. nothing yet.
Oh my word yes the holidays and endless eating. I’ve got my kids well trained though, they know they must sort out their own food and snacks during the day. I make supper every day but for the rest of it they are on their own. They are getting very good at making their own food. I just need to work on getting them to tidy up after themselves LOL
