Have you ever been invited to one of those baby showers where you have a look at the baby shower registry and nearly faint at the prices of the gifts choices? Well I have many a time and while I don’t mind sometimes spending a bit on a baby shower present I don’t often have a load of money available to splash out on gifts for people.
As a mom of two I have to watch all the money I spend and I like to limit the amount of money that I spend on gifts for people so that I have more money to put away for my kids education fund and for spending on my own family.

Oh my word, these gifts are so adorable. It makes me feel like having a baby all over again. One of my favorite things to do was to dress JD in the different outfits. I couldn’t wait to try on all those little outfits.
Tommee Tippee products are awesome. I still use the Tommee Tippee bottles. I love their pacifiers. They have a great variety of designs to choose from. Unfortunately, JD had a preference for NUK dummies since he was a baby. So NUK soothers it is. They are also great but they don’t have nearly as many designs for the older age group (18-24 months) than the Tommee Tippee range.
That Foxnovo caterpillar style baby pod and hat is the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a long time. I wonder if I’ll be able to crochet one of them. One of my friends is expecting at the moment. It doesn’t look too difficult a design.
Flannel blankets are the best for swaddling. I used mine every day.
I love the Johnsons first touch gift set and the six pack baby socks. We went through a lot of socks, because the first year of a baby’s life, it’s not even worth spending money on shoes. It’s not practical and they grow to fast.
Pacifier clips are great, even for when babies grow older. This is a must have item.
I know exactly what you mean – I got some seriously cute little outfits when my babies were born and I loved playing dress up too! I have to admit that the Caterpillar Pod is hands down my favourite on this list too 🙂
