It’s been a quiet week behind the scenes 08 April 2022 – the main focus this week was getting the kids back to school and getting back into the swing of things for the second term. I’ve also joined a new platform that pays you to walk – very exciting!
2022 Children’s Mental Health Symposium
It was fantastic having Louise Hildeman join me to talk about the 2022 Children’s Mental Health Symposium by The Institute Of Child Psychology. It is taking place from the 22nd to the 24th April 2022.
I was contacted by Tania Johnson of the The Institute Of Child Psychology and we wanted to do a live video together, however my 9am is her 1am due to the time difference so instead her sister, Louise Hildeman, joined for the live video as she has attended all the conferences to date.
Mental health is a topic very close to my heart and I loved discussing the topic of children’s mental health with her. I will be attending the conference for the first time this year and I’m so looking forward to it! I’m looking forward to receiving my ticket so that I can check out the amazing line up for this year.
After seven sold-out conferences, The Institute of Child Psychology has created a line-up of world-renowned speakers to empower parents, caregivers, and professionals with unparalleled workshops on parenting, children’s mental health, and enhancing resiliency.
From navigating stress, dealing with tantrums, parenting your teen, building powerful relationships to tackling the effects of low self-esteem, the conference will explore many of today’s most significant challenges facing our youth.
This full weekend event is not a collection of one-hour topics – but instead focuses on half and full-day workshops that are brimming with the latest research, tools and strategies.
Who: Dr Tina Payne Bryson, Dr Jennifer Mullan, Dr. Rick Hanson, Dr Becky, Dr Gordon Neufeld and a host of other incredible speakers.
When: April 22-24, 2022. All Recordings can be viewed for 60 days!
Where: From the comfort of your own home on the virtual conference platform, Hubilo

Weight Loss Update – Scale Still Broken
I think I’m actually putting off buying a new scale. After finally reaching the “normal” BMI weight category my scale broke and I have not yet bought a new one. I’m still feeling great and I’m doing all the right things, so I will have to buy that scale and update soon on my weight loss.
And now that I’ve spoken about my weight loss, let’s talk about yummy food…

Give A Pumpkin Get A Pumpkin Pie
Oh how I love my neighbours! When I got back from the farm with all those veggies I gave my neighbour a pumpkin, then a few days later he gave me a pumpkin pie and oh my word was it delicious. I’ve never had pumpkin pie before and now I think I need to get the recipe so I can make for my family.

White Chocolate Mocha Mousse
I’ve been wondering what to make with the white chocolate baking buttons from Nova Choc-Oh-Late and then I stumbled across a recipe for white chocolate mocha mousse and I knew it was the one! It came out beautifully and the family loved it. I will share the recipe with you soon. This will make a fantastic dessert for a family braai or a treat for any time really.

Sweatcoin – Being Paid To Walk
I was introduced to Sweatcoin a few days ago and I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not, but turns out I absolutely love it! I have only been a member for a few days so I need to play around with it for a while longer before I write a review on my website.
The basic idea though is that you join Sweatcoin and download Google Fit to track your steps. Then you get paid Sweatcoins for walking. You can cash in your Sweatcoins to claim offers such as free Netflix, Amazon gift cards and more! You can also refer people and earn 5 Sweatcoins for every referral that signs up.
You can claim cash for referrals and I have already cashed out R40 via Paypal for my first 5 referrals. I have not received the payment as it takes up to 7 days to be paid out. I will share everything I’ve learned about Sweatcoin in my next live video.
So far it looks fantastic and it has really motivated me to move more. Click here to sign up.
I might just try this sweatcoin after birth. I need to try be more active than I was before!!
It is a great app Natasha! It has motivated me more than ever to go outdoors and go walking, just what I need right now!
I need to check out sweatcoin as that is a great motivator to keep on walking 🙌
