Travel-Wizz Handbag Organizer Insert Review

I’ve always switched between having a big handbag and a small handbag. I love having a big handbag, especially now that I have kids… the problem is the bigger the bag the harder it is to find anything in there. I’ve always wanted a good handbag organizer but even after searching I was never able to find one that really appealed to me and at a decent price.

A while back I found one that looked perfect on Takealot but the price of R499 was not quite within the budget I was hoping for, so instead of buying it I added it to my wishlist and forgot about it. Then a few weeks ago I was looking at things on Takealot and when I went into my wishlist I saw that the handbag organizer I was keen on was on special so I quickly bought it.

I’ve been using this handbag organizer for a month now and I’m loving it so decided to share my experience with you.

The Size and How It Fits

I have a very large bag that I bought from Mr Price a while back and I have been searching for an organizer for it. It took me a while to find an organizer that is large enough to fit my bag.

The Travel Wizz organizer comes in two size options – medium which is 28 x 15 x 15cm and the large is 29 x 18 x 15cm. I ordered the large size.

I find it really sad that a person that reviewed this product gave it a 3 star review on Takealot because the organizer is apparently too large for most handbags – the product sizes are clearly viewable on the product description on the website. Always make sure to read the size information before ordering anything online.

Please note that I found an organizer that looks exactly the same on Amazon with more sizes available – mini 7.09″ x 2.75″ x 5.5″, medium 9.25″ x 5.1″ x 5.9″, slender medium 11.2″x 3.2″ x 6.5″, large 11.4″ x 5.9″ x 7.1″, slender large 13.78″ x 3.35″ x 5.9″  and X-large 13.4″ x 6.7″ x 7.1″.

The size is perfect for me, it slides comfortably into my handbag and what I love the most is that the organizer is sturdy and does not lose it’s shape. You can take the entire organizer out of your handbag and it will still keep it’s shape without anything falling out due to the sturdy felt fabric it is made out of.

Colour Options

There are two colour options available on Takealot – black and beige. I chose beige to match my handbag and it looks stunning.

Please note that the organizer mentioned above on Amazon comes in 12 colour options – black, beige, red, grey, light pink, light coffee, rosy, beige and black, coffee and black, washed light grey and yellow, wine red and washed light.

Handbag Organizer Features

On the one side of the organizer there are two medium pockets on the outside and three slim pockets on the inside. On the other side of the organizer there are two medium pockets on the inside and one large pocket the length of the organizer which my A5 designer journal from The Papery slides into perfectly.

The phone fits perfectly into the medium pockets, as does my bottle of hand sanitizer. The smaller pockets are perfect for smaller items such as my hand cream, plasters (which I always have to carry around for my kids) and my phone headphones.

You can use the organizer like this which leaves you with a large section in the middle of the organizer, however it comes with a detachable wallet section which will divide the middle large section of the bag into two sections.

The detachable wallet comes with a large zipped section, one large pocket the length of the organizer and an additional three small pockets. I’m in love with the wallet section and use the large zipped pocket for my makeup, stationary other small items.

Another fantastic feature of this organizer is the detachable key chain. I am always losing my keys in my handbag but this is now a problem of the past since I can easily attach my car and house keys to the chain which means I can access them without having to scratch for them.

My Final Thoughts On The Travel-Wizz Handbag Organizer Insert

I am so in love with this handbag organizer insert. I am able to have my large handbag with everything I need AND I can find what I need without a hassle. Everything has it’s own place and I feel so much more organized when I leave home.

I also love the fact that none of my creams or hand sanitizer falls over in my handbag anymore running the risk of leaks and spills. The organizer keeps everything standing up with no risk of messing.

The only thing I do advise is to choose which pockets you will use since making use of every pocket will encroach on the space in the centre of the bag making it hard to use that section due to a lack of space.
