Baby growth spurts are defined as a rapid rise in weight and height. Growth spurts can be physical or mental and may occur at different times. Your baby’s sleep will be disturbed, baby will be crankier than usual and want to feed non-stop. A growth spurt lasts for a few days.
Try and get as much rest as possible and feed baby as often as you can. If you are a breastfeeding mommy let baby nurse as often and for as long as baby wants. This will increase your breast milk to accommodate for baby’s growing needs. Don’t top up breastfeeds with formula because you think your baby is not getting enough milk, it will take a few days for your supply to increase.
Try and sleep when baby sleeps and drink lots of water. Ask for help from hubby or anyone else if you cannot cope with everything.
