InstaView Door-in-Door™ – Transforming How Users Interact with Refrigerators
While conventional refrigerators often sport ordinary doors with ice dispensers, LG’s InstaView Door-in-Door™ boasts a never-before-seen 33-inch sleek glass panel and array of innovative features. In addition, the interior is illuminated when the panel is knocked on twice. This allows users to see inside without ever opening the door or wasting cold air, transforming the way consumers use refrigerators from an appliance they have to open to see what’s inside to one they can see inside before opening.
Moreover, the spacious Door-in-Door™ compartment allows users to easily store frequently accessed snacks or beverages. The refrigerator’s storage space can be effortlessly accessed using the Hidden Button under the refrigerator door while also granting users a wider view of the items stored inside, offering the utmost in flexibility and convenience.
The refrigerator also replaces conventional door handles with unique, square pocket handles that open from the bottom of the top door, adding a modern touch to its overall appearance.
Innovative Features Cater to Everyday User Needs
With LG’s high-grade water and ice dispensing system, users have convenient access to both ice and water without ever having to open the refrigerator door. The refrigerator employs the door-mounted Spaceplus™ Ice System to produce ready-to-use ice, perfect for kicking back on a hot summer day with an iced cold glass of lemonade.
The inside of the InstaView Door-in-Door™ is equipped with the Moist Balance Crisper™, which maintains peak moisture level and humidity control. This maximizes the freshness of fruits and vegetables for an extended period and helps preserve moisture on foods, such as lettuce or spinach.
The InstaView Door-in-Door™ is fully compatible with LG’s SmartThinQ™, allowing users to control their refrigerator using their smartphone from outside the home. Users can set the refrigerator temperature, controlfeatures such as Express Freeze, and diagnose appliance problems all from the connected application.
Inverter Linear Compressor Ensures Maximum Energy Savings

I thought the LG Instaview Door-in-Door fridge was stunning. Such an innovative idea.
I think (ahem, hope) my 4-year-old son will have just as much fun knocking on the door and seeing it light up inside as he does opening the fridge a gazillion times a day. When I got home that evening and showed him the pictures and told him all about the knock-knock idea he was suitably impressed.
