How To Cut Aloe Leaf

I’ve got loads of exciting things to share with you all about my weight loss this year, but before I can tell you all about it I have to show you how to cut aloe leaf because fresh aloe flesh played a major part in this and went into a number of concoctions that I made… so this video shows you how I cut the aloe leaf.

The aloe that I used in this video is Aloe Vera and loads of people told me that Aloe Vera doesn’t work, it is only the Aloe Ferox that works… from my experience either one will do. I have used Aloe Vera from my garden and Aloe Ferox from my mom’s farm.

Fortunately for me I have a whole stack of Aloe Vera plants growing in our garden so grabbing some for my recipes was so easy. I spoke to a number of people that don’t have access to fresh Aloe in their gardens – you can also get hold of an Aloe Ferox agent in South Africa and order the Aloe juice which is a concentrate – you only need to add one cap full into whatever it is that you are drinking.

Or just grab some Aloe concentrate from Amazon in the links below.

I’m busy with it right now @tamara737 and oh my word has it made an amazing difference! I am also going to write a post sharing all the things I did to lose the 7kgs I lost between January and February 🙂 I’m typing like mad, I really need to get this out there before I go on my next mission to lose the rest (another 13 kgs) !

  2. OMW @Lynne – that’s amazing! Congratulation 🙂
I cannot wait to hear all about it! I battled last year to get motivated and stick to a plan, this year seems to be my year as something just clicked in my mind and I too have lost 6Kgs and still going strong. This is the year I want to become a healthy mom so I will be able to do more things with my baby. I also did a three-day detox in the beginning and I must admit I am feeling so much better than I did last year. Not so tired or irritated like I was before. It’s amazing to think that whatever you pump into your body can have such a positive or negative effect on your general well being. I’m just hoping I can see it through this time as I won’t lie I’ve tried in the past more than I care to admit 😛

Oh you WILL do it! I am going to start again in a week or two with my detox and being strict. I have had such amazing results and I am feeling so much healthier and happier!

Congrats on your 6kg loss that is amazing. I can’t wait for you to try out this detox drink that I made. Do you have access to any Aloe plants?

      • I don’t in my yard no, but I have a feeling that Werner might have in his. If not there is always my mom and friends, I will find some 🙂

  3. Congrats Lynne on your weight loss. I remember watching my dad cut aloe leafs. He used to make a concoction from it to reduce a tumor on his optic nerve.

At one point we had loads of aloe trees in our garden and there is also different types of aloe. My favorite was the ones that had red ‘flowers’ on them.

It is easier to buy from an aloe agent in the liquid form, but if you are able to grow your own it works out much cheaper on the end.

  4. That is amazing @Lynne, congratulations on your weight loss, it is always wonderful to hear people that are successful in obtaining their goal to lose weight, but it is extremely kind of you to share your journey with others.

I always knew the Aloe Vera plant was useful but not to this level.

When we were younger and had ear aches I remember my mother used to cut a piece of the plant and warm in a sauce pan, thereafter she used to squeeze out the juice, add a drop or two of olive oil and put this in our ears.
This process used to rid us of the ear ache almost immediately.

    Wow! Thanks for sharing Lynne.

The plant looks quite slimey and gooey, but I know that Aloe has amazing medicinal uses.

Long time ago you used to get a product on the market which contains aloe juice. I’m not too sure what it was called. I think it was something like Timjan. My Gran used to drink it for her arthritis.

I knew it is great for treating sunburn or cold sores, but there are many more benefits.

Aloe gel helps with osteoarthritis, bowel diseases, fever, itching and inflammation.

The Aloe vera juice is packed with antioxidants and vitamins which is a wonderful product for treating skin problems, i.e. reducing the frequency and appearance of acne, and assisting with skin conditions like psoriasis & dermatitis.

Another great use is reducing the side affects of radiation treatment.

You can also make a face scrub by adding sugar and lemon juice.

This really is one of those super plants with many uses and benefits.
