Hubby and I went on our monthly date today to the Deli On Main in Dwarsbersbos, it was a lovely morning out so I decided (while there is still power) to write a quick Deli On Main review.
Since we moved to Velddrif a few months ago we are new to the area and I’m loving exploring the area and finding places to eat out. My husband ate at Deli On Main a while back and told me that it was great, so we picked it for our November date.
Deli On Main Review
Deli On Main is on the main road in Dwarskersbos and has a lovely menu. They offer breakfast, pancakes, lunches, light meals, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, platters, seafood, salads, steak, and a kids menu.
There is indoor and outdoor seating, we chose to sit outdoors. There is also a little deli inside to buy fresh baked, veggies and other produce. Deli On Main was crowned Weslanders “Fish And Chips King 2022”.
The service was fantastic, the vibe is awesome, and the food was delicious. We had the The Deli breakfast and my husband had the Caramel And Banana Pancake. I was barely able to finish my breakfast and could not fit in anything else so my husband got to eat the pancake on his own.
It was great value for money with reasonable pricing and big portions. The pancakes range from R35 to R49 and you get two pancakes on the plate – I doubt you are going to find a better deal anywhere else!
They are open 9am to 3pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm on Fridays, and 9am to 3pm Saturdays and Sundays. They also offer takeaways.
We went for a quick walk on the beach in Dwarsbersbos before going home, it is a beautiful, quiet beach that is perfect for going for a romantic stroll.
If you are looking for a spot to eat out in the West Coast I highly recommend visiting Deli On Main in Dwarskersbos. I want to go back soon with my kids and treat them to some pancakes. There is a peppermint crisp pancake that has my name on it!

do they also cater for kids,I mean kids meals and safe place to keep kids entertained and everything
They have a kids menu Sandra, but there is no kids play area and the restaurant is right on the main road… so for older kids that will sit at the table responsibly like mine it will be fine but for much younger kids you will have to be on your toes.
Love it too and sounds like a lekker place, loov pancakes this is definitely on my list

Yes we are keeping up with our dates every month. Today’s breakfast date was short notice, because I only realized yesterday that I’m away with the kids from Monday till 30th December, so we had to go out quickly so make sure we got our December date in!
