Kids Positivity Journal – Aware Bears & Never-ending Stories

I am super stoked with the positivity journals sent to me by Aware Bears – they are stunning starting point for kids to learn how to journal to improve their mental health. Each page has prompts for the kids to help them with their journaling and to learn how to identify how they are feeling and improve their positivity.

At just R50 a book you cannot go wrong with these! My daughter is so excited to get started with it.

Jurassic World: Dominion – In Cinemas

Jurassic World: Dominion is in cinemas today – an absolute treat for any child. I still remember watching the first Jurassic Park movie in 1933 with my dad and being blown away by it. Make sure to watch it with your kids!

Chess – I’m A Chess Mom Now!

I was so stoked when my son took an interest in playing chess after seeing my sister’s chess board during the last school holidays. I taught him the basics of how to play and he played his very first chess game with me.

When school started for the second term her decided he wanted to take up chess at school. I thought it would be an easy and cheap activity for my son…. and then I found out that this is far from the truth! The chess coach at the school is very passionate about chess and I was added to the chess Whatsapp group to be flooded with messages about tournaments and activities!

My son played in his first tournament on the weekend and his age group won. He received a medal and was over the moon.

Tournaments are played all over the Western Cape and if he does well he might play in other provinces too at some stage. I even saw a photo in our school chess group where one of the kids was flying overseas to compete! This is fantastic and also scary. I think chess offers fantastic benefits for kids and I love the enthusiasm and excitement. However, it is not a quiet and mundane activity like I thought it would be.

When tournaments are played it is a whole day affair, sometimes a whole weekend. Parents are not allowed in the hall, so we have to camp on the grounds for the day, bringing everything we need with us. As soon as my son got into the tournament my sister in law sent me a packing list!

Going To Cape Town For The Weekend

This weekend we are going to Cape Town to spend some time with my sister and catch up with some friends. While I absolutely love living in the West Coast it is always great to visit Cape Town where there is so much to see and do. It is going to be a full weekend and I’m sure we will all be knackered when we get back.

I’m planning on hooking up with Judy from Fun Mamma SA and Lauren Kinghorn.

Make Money Online

Ysense: Make Money Online With Surveys

Ysense is by far my favourite way to make an income on the side through surveys. It is not a massive income stream,  but it is consistent and something I can do in my spare time which I love. Read my Ysense review for information on how it works and click here to read another post I wrote sharing ways to increase your Ysense earnings.

SurveyTime – $1 Per Survey Immediate Payout

Another survey site I’m enjoying is SurveyTime – you get paid (usually) $1 per survey or if there are no $1 surveys available there are sometimes surveys for $0.50. What I love about this survey app is that you get paid immediately to Paypal, Amazon gift card or Coinbase. It is a pleasure being paid immediately rather than having to earn enough to reach the cash out threshold which is common with most survey platforms. I recently published my SurveyTime review.

CashPiggy

A new survey platform I’ve been trying is CashPiggy and I’ve managed to cash out via Paypal already. This survey platform works on a points basis and each survey will tell you how much points you will earn for completing it. Something I really like about this platform is that you can claim 10 free points every day, so even if there are no surveys available it is worthwhile checking in daily.

You can cash out from 300 points to Paypal or Amazon gift card.

and enter my invite code zfzmeay and you will get an extra 10 points from me.

Sweatcoin – Get Paid To Walk

Sweatcoin is an app that pays you to walk – you earn 1 Sweatcoin for 1000 steps. You can then cash in those Sweatcoins for offers on the app. The offers change all the time – I’ve seen Amazon giftcards, Netflix, and eBay vouchers available. They are also soon launching SWEAT crypto – where you will earn SWEAT when you earn Sweatcoin.

I’m going to be writing a review once the crypto has launched. Click here to sign up for Sweatcoin.

Shopping Cash Back And Coupons

SnapnSave is still my top app for getting cash back on my shopping. I’ve covered everything I know about SnapnSave in a review, click here to read it.

Another app that I’m really enjoying is ibottit. You can down it from Google Playstore. I love that it is so simple to use. You can upload up to 6 till slips over a 30 day period. Each till slip that is approved gets you 20 points. There are also sometimes surveys available that give you 50 points per survey. The surveys are super quick and easy to do.

You can cash out your points for rewards on the app. The rewards change all the time, with the lowest cash out reward I’ve seen being 500 points for a R50 voucher. I’ve seen vouchers for Checkers, Pick n Pay, Exclusive Books, Takealot, Sorbet and more.

I’ve recently started with PanelSmart – it is a market research app so they want to see the spending habits of people. You sign up here and then wait for them to contact you to approve your application. Once you are approved you can submit your shopping through the app. It is not as easy to use as the other apps since you have to scan the barcodes of all your purchases and submit your till slip. At the end of each month you get rewarded with a cash amount in the app that you can cash out for vouchers. There are a lot of voucher choices available with Takealot being the one that caught my eye.

BuySnart is a rewards program for Tiger Brands that works on Whatsapp. You sign up now by sending a WhatsApp message saying “Hi” to 072 897 6278. You submit your till slips via Whatsapp and you will receive points for qualifying Tiger Brands products that you buy, such as All Gold tomato sauce, Cross & Blackwell mayonnaise, Oros, Mrs Balls chutney, Black Cat peanut butter and more. You can cash out your points for rewards. I’ve only seen call time on the rewards section but there are apparently also other shopping offers available at times.

Back in our days we had diaries and auto books kkkkkkkk if you know them and yes mental illness was there but not as it is now
