Designer Floral Hard Cover Journal Review – The Papery

I may not be the world’s best organizer, but I do love making notes and journaling. When I saw the new designer floral hard cover journal range from The Papery I was so excited to buy myself a few things and the floral journal was top of my list.

As a work from home mom I am always making lists whether it be for shopping, errands, to do lists for work or doing my 12 step recovery work. I’m always needing a place to scribble and I love to keep a notebook in my handbag at all times. I chose the dragonfly design because it is one of the prettiest plus it has a cream background and my handbag and new handbag organizer (review to come soon) are both cream so it will suit my bag beautifully.

Designer Floral Hard Cover Journal Review

I ordered my designer floral journal on Friday and it arrived via Pargo at Clicks Langebaan on Monday, so I collected it on Tuesday morning before heading out to Cape Town for a work trip. My daughter ripped open the package in the car as I ordered a few things, some for her!

I was delighted with the journal, it was even nicer than I thought it would be judging from the pictures on The Papery website.

High Quality Cover

The cover is not only beautiful, it is amazing quality too. It has a leather like, textured feel. The corners are rounded and it is so smart. This is not ordinary notebook.

High Quality Paper

The paper is definitely higher grade stuff compared to the standard notebook you find. It is cream paper and stunning to write on and touch.

Ribbon Marker and Elastic

I love this feature. Having a ribbon marker is great to keep your place, but my favourite feature of this journal is the elastic at the back to hold back some pages. This means I can use the front and the back of the journal and keep both places.

Made In South Africa

Now more than ever I believe in supporting South African businesses, especially those that manufacture the products in South Africa. Supporting South African Mompreneurs is high on my list.

Other Features

It is an A5 journal which is the perfect size for what I need it for. It fits in my (large) handbag perfectly. It has 160 pages so it is not too thin and will last a good amount of time.

These journals currently come in six different designs – the dragonfly which I bought, black & white roses, black & white butterfly, lemon delight, hibiscus and flower n bugs.

The journal has an option of coming in blank, lined or dot grid pages. I have always preferred the lined pages so this is the one that I purchased. I was intrigued by the dot grid pages since I was not sure why I would choose that option and there is a great blog post by The Papery about using a dot grid journal and you know what? I might just want a dot grid soon too! It looks fantastic for planning.

I am totally in love with this designer floral hard cover journal. It is beautiful, useful and incredibly high quality. The current price of R160 is great value for money.
