Being pregnant is a wonderful part of life. You have a little life growing inside of you and these moments are moments that you will remember for the rest of your life. There are so many things you can do to keep your body healthy so soak in all the suggestions you find out there. Remember, if you are active then stay active, this is no time to quit running or exercising unless your doctor tells you to. Many pregnant women go on to run, swim, hike and walk. Just don’t do anything that could make you harm yourself or the baby, nothing on the bit of extreme list. But, you get the idea.
Stop Smoking And Drinking
You would think that in this day and age it would be fairly obvious that you shouldn’t do these things while pregnant. However, go sit in public and watch and you will see many women continue to smoke through their pregnancy. With all the ways to quit smoking available, there just is not an excuse to not want to quit. Think about it, you don’t want to have a baby that is addicted to nicotine right off the bat. So, stopping should be a concern that you can discuss with your doctor. The same goes for drinking alcohol and doing any kind of street drugs or medications that you don’t need. This includes over the counter medications. Everything should be discussed with your doctor on what is safe to take should you need a pain reliever or something of this sort.
