Creative Divas Review – Coffee Shop And Craft Shop In Laaiplek

For our June date my husband took me out to lunch at Creative Divas in Laaiplek, Velddrif. I’ve driven past the spot so many times but always thought it was a craft shop and didn’t realise it was a coffeeshop too. Read my Creative Divas review for more information.

Creative Divas Laaiplek

Creative Divas (also known as Laaiplek Divas) is a coffeeshop and craft store in Laaiplek, Velddrif. They offer breakfast and light meals. The craft store has wool, wooden cut out crafts, mosaic, ribbons, paint, beads, and more.

Creative Divas is located at 9 Jameson Street, Laaiplek, and is open 08h30 to 15h30 Monday to Friday and 08h30 to 13h00 on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays.

My Creative Divas Review

I was pleasantly surprised by our quick lunch date at Creative Divas. The menu is simple and offers a nice variety of small meals at very good prices. The cappuccino was lovely – we were offered a choice of cream or froth and chose cream. The cappuccino came a small biscuit on the side and chocolate sprinkles and some chocolate sauce on top, it was divine.

We both ordered the Divas Breakfast which has bacon, eggs, sausage, and toast. The food came quickly and was very good. The service was good and the vibe at Creative Divas is really good. It has a friendly atmosphere and you can feel it is a place for the locals rather than a tourist attraction. It is the perfect place to go for a coffee with a friend.

I took a walk through the craft shop and they offer some lovely things. I love the handmade wooden cut out crafts that you can buy and paint for your home. They have trays, condiment caddies, boxes for storage, and more. My daughter loves making jewellery and they beads and accessories for making jewellery, so I am going to have to take my daughter to have a look soon.
