Week 2 My Weight Loss Journey

This last week has been both good and bad. While I achieved all the goals that I set for myself I did not feel very motivated at all, especially when it came to getting the exercise in. I have to be honest here, I find it quite easy to eat properly, but when it comes to exercise I find it really hard to get started. Once I am exercising I actually enjoy it and I feel good but it is getting my gear on, pulling out my exercise mat and getting going that is the part that I really struggle with.

So yes I exercised 3 times this week for 30 minutes, I drank a liter of water every day and I ate salad with every evening meal. I expected that reaching my goals would have felt better and I would be more motivated by now but the truth is that I am not.

That brings me to my goals for this coming week. I feel that the best move for me would be to do something that motivates me and gets my enthusiasm going for this weight loss challenge.

I am going to be continuing with my goals of last week through this coming week and I am adding another 3 goals.

  1. Hypnosis for weight loss every day
  2. Drink 2 cups of green tea daily
  3. Eat a healthy breakfast every morning

In case you missed it I actually wrote an article about hypnosis for weight loss at the beginning of this year. There is a good weight loss hypnosis audio on this website (just scroll to the bottom of the article) that I have done before and it helped me with my mindset then and I am hoping listening to this daily will help me to get back on track again. I like that it is just 10 minutes long, so it will be easy to fit listening to it in the morning before I get started with my day.

There are also plenty of weight loss hypnosis videos on Youtube too but it appears most of these videos longer. However it could be a really good idea to spend some time in the evening before you go to bed to relax and listen to a video.

My mindset is really important and I don’t want to have to force myself every day to exercise or to have negative feelings towards this process. The whole point is to feel better about myself and I want to enjoy the process as well as the end result.

Positive affirmations can go a long way in achieving a healthier, happier mindset.

Green tea is so healthy and helps with weight loss, there are lots of teas that you can drink for weight loss. If you are not keen on green tea check this article I wrote on herbal teas for weight loss and choose one that appeals to you.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and lately I have been falling back into bad habits where I skip breakfast completely. It may seem like a great idea to skip breakfast to lose weight, but it isn’t really. Eating breakfast gives you energy to get through the day and cope with all that your busy mom life throws at you. I’m sure that not eating breakfast has contributed to my resistance to exercise in the morning. It’s not good to run on empty.

I love yogurt and fruit for breakfast so I am going to start off this week with having that for breakfast every day.

Just a note here that I have not weighed myself or measured myself this week. I have only been on this journey for 2 weeks, but the first week was just mentally preparing myself. This means that I have only really made a start a week ago and I doubt that there would be any changes so soon.

    • Thanks @tamara737 🙂 Maybe you should do the hypnosis video first and it may get you into the right midset! I watched it today and I am feeling so amped and ready now!
