  1. Sounds like a mutually beneficial arrangement. You’re giving bloggers the chance to reach a new audience, and your readers get to read about others’ experiences and perspectives. A win win situation!! Too bad I don’t blog about these issues, I would definitely be submitting some articles!!

    • Thanks Hindy, yes unfortunately it must be family related, although I have to say that having pets is very much family related. So if you find the time and you are so inclined to write an article specially for Kaboutjie then I am sure it will be a great fit!

  2. I think guest posting is a great way to connect with other bloggers and to get new and creative ideas on the your website. I like that the guest post only has to be baby/family related- that pretty much can include everything.
I blog on books so it’s okay if I do a post on best books for kids up to 5 yrs? I would have to do a special post as I usually do book reviews for adults.

    • Hi Dinh

Yes I have visited your website a few times, and as you know I am an avid reader. I read to my children every night before bed. I will be very interested to see what books you recommend for kids up to 5 years old and how it compares to the books I loved as a child and the books I read to my children.

      Yes please submit a post!

      • Great.
I will start working on choosing the best books! Now the difficult part is selecting a handful…. This may take some time !

        • Yes it is hard, I agree with you! Have you read Curly The Chameleon? If you haven’t then I suggest you get hold of it. It is by a local author (South African) and I just can’t remember the name at this stage.

Anyway it is a lovely book and I wanted to do a review on it here but I just haven’t had the time to get to it. Another thing on my (very long) list of things to do.

  3. Hey there =)

Now talk about a brilliant idea!

It’s an awesome way for people to connect with each other.

What a genius bit of creation you have here =D

    • Thanks Lawrence 🙂

I hope to see a guest post from you. I remember visiting your website recently and it was great. Natural and positive ways to deal with anxiety is certainly something that is needed for a lot of people!

  4. What a great platform! I love reading about all things parenting and kiddies because lets face it- when you have children every bit of advice helps! Being a first time mommy is such a wonderful and eye opening experience and there is something to write about everyday!

    • Hi Nicole

So will we be reading your birth story at some stage Nicole?

And yes you are so right, it is also great for everyone to be able to read some awesome posts by other moms, mix it up a little 🙂

  5. What a wonderful idea!
Awesome website – so easy – no hassles.
Reading these stories will help us mommies to not always think we’re doing it wrong…. everyone struggles and laughs afterwards about it.

  6. Lynne we are doing an amazing job and we must not be so hard on ourself…

My baby is 11 weeks old and now only its getting easier. I know her now and she knows me.
In the beginning… o my soul!!! The soon as my mother said – its a wind i wanted to freak out… and then all the other questions… do you have enough milk? Is it nutritious enough? I think she’s tired? Is she tired? Maybe its the diaper? Or does she needs a bath?
I DON’T KNOW! We try everything and if it doesnt work we start again and eventually solve the problem and put baby to sleep.

We should just take one step at a time!!!
