Busy Moms's Guide to Increase Blog Traffic

The Busy Mom’s Guide to Increase Traffic on Her Blog

So you are a busy mom and want to start a blog, eh?

Sounds cool, a years ago I was like you. (Not mom, but really busy in my 9 to 5 job) And now, after a year, I am a changed woman.

  • I am a full-time blogger: (Generally, 2-3 hours day count)
  • I have a huge fan base.
  • I am earning awesome. (Nope, sorry! I am spending a lot of money in the junk food that I eat while working on my blog )

Sounds amazing, right? I am here to share my blogging secrets that will help you start your own blog. I am going to share some really effective tips to help you out.

Ask some basic questions to yourself:

I am not advising everyone to jump into the blogging business just because it looks like a quick way to make money. To be honest, it is not. To be sure, you need to ask yourself some  questions before starting ahead:

  1. Do I have  time to dedicate myself for my blog?
  2. Can I come up with new and creative ideas?
  3. Am I good at writing and can I write out of the box content?
  4. Do I know how to monetize my efforts?

If you have appropriate answers to the mentioned questions, go ahead friend! But again, you have to dedicate your time and efforts to your blog if you really want to see amazing results.

Choose a niche that can hold your interest:

What are you going to write is perhaps one of the most important steps of all. Knowing who your future audience is and what they like is must. I was very confused while choosing a niche so I made a list of areas where I am really good and finally came up with the most appropriate one. It is not an overnight task. You might end up spending a couple of days, before settling to one, but this research is really important.

If you are also confused, think of the areas you are good at. And also the knowledge that you’ll be sharing to benefit the readers. An area where you are perfect, will automatically add the fuel to the fire and help in improving the reader base.

Write out of box content

Anybody can write content. Remember just ‘content’. To stand in front of the queue, writing content is not enough. You have to add several ingredients to it, you have to make it interesting, show the creativity, and add flavors of fun and facts (if required). In short, you have to deliver a complete package of out of the box content. Therefore, if you haven’t chosen the desired niche, you will soon get bored and give up.

Outsource your work

Well, I had a 9 to 5 job, you have kids, therefore it is obvious to not getting enough time to promote content. Yes, you can write amazing content for the blog but if you are not promoting it, it won’t bring any results. The best thing to do is to hire a digital marketing expert like ViralChilly. This will help you drive huge traffic on the blog while allowing you to do what should be your focus, ie writing.

Research on your competitors

According to digital marketing expert, Prince Kapoor, “To attain the position one, figure out what competitors are missing and then act”. Before starting my blog, I did a little research on my competitors. I figured out what are the points they were missing and how I can deliver those points and knowledge to my readers in the best possible way.

My efforts worked great for me. Readers started to like my blog. And soon, I had a huge fan base of readers who not only like my posts but also share them on their personal social media platforms. Here’s an article to learn more about competitor analysis.

Ensure consistency

Once you hit the mark of satisfactory reader count, the only thing you have to do is, ‘keep going’. Yes, don’t stop yourself, now you have a huge fan base of readers who are waiting to hear from you. Keep writing the amazing content and spread the love.

These are some steps that I took to increase quality traffic to my blog. So, all mommies, keep promoting, keep earning and the most important, keep writing. 🙂
