How To Get Paid To Write
You will need to send in an application (at the bottom of this page) which will be assessed. You will either be approved or you will be given feedback on why your application was not successful.
What Type Of Writing Will I Be Doing?
Approved paid contributors will be paid for writing blog comments, creating new forum topics and for replying to discussions in the forum. It is as simple as that – you will receive more guidelines once you are an approved paid contributor.
What Do I Need To Qualify As A Paid Contributor?
You don’t need to have any experience as a writer to qualify, however you do need a good command of the English language and be able to write good content.
You need to be a registered member with a minimum rank of Regular Member (check your profile).
How Does Ranking Work?
Your ranking reflects how active you have been on the Kaboutjie website – when you first join you will have a ranking of “Newbie”. The more active you are the more points you gain – ranking is based on a point system.
You can see your rank and points from within your profile.
When you comment on blog posts, comment on other member’s status updates, like comments and updates, create forum topics, join forum discussions, create friendships with other members and refer other members you earn points.
Different activities have different point values and some activities have limits for earning daily or monthly points. This is to prevent spamming and trying to game the system. The best way to increase your rank is to log in regularly and be active daily.
The amount of points earned for different activities and limits may change from time to time.
The different ranks are currently:
- Regular Member
- Power Member
- Super Member
- Golden Member
- Platinum Member
