The Freedom Day event organised by Al Muthakkir (27 April 2015) was a great success. Over 150 youths from the area attended.
The event lasted from 10am to 4pm. Pastor David opened the day with prayer.
Mr Fed Goliath coordinated the kids soccer games, Makayle Theron arranged 3 stick games and Haniefah Costern also entertained children. The kids had their faces painted, played lots of games and danced to music.
Nazeem Sonday gave a motivational speech and is very pleased with the feedback from the community that they would love more events as they had not had anything of this nature in their community before.
Nazeem would like to give sincere thanks to their main sponsors for this day: Faizel Reynolds from Reynolds Mechanical Repairs in Retreat Main Road and Dr Bianca Barron who is a general practitioner in Military Road. There were many other people that made donations to make this day possible.
