In a first for the vehicle tracking and recovery industry, Netstar, a subsidiary of Altron, has partnered with MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet, South Africa’s leading community loyalty programme, to offer a co-branded online purchasing platform which will allow customers to also give back to schools and other causes.
From 23 November, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet supporters who sign up or renew an existing Netstar contract via the online portal can add their MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card number, and Netstar will give back 10% of their monthly bill to the beneficiary of their choice – at no extra cost to them.
MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet supporters will now also be able to sign up for a Netstar Plus or Netstar Early Warning vehicle tracking subscription, making payment and arranging fitment online.
An additional benefit of the partnership allows MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet customers to enjoy a free, 30-day trial of Netstar Go, an app-based digital concierge service offering special offers, discounts, ticketing and needs assistance.

MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet enables supporters to give back to more than 8 000 beneficiaries by simply swiping their cards every time they shop at partner outlets, with a percentage of their spend donated to their chosen cause, at no cost to them. Beneficiaries range from schools and community initiatives, to animal welfare and environmental conservation.
