When I was growing up my parents bought us a trampoline and we absolutely loved it. We had it for years and certainly got our value from it. On top of that it was a huge draw card for friends too, so when we had friends over that was our go to place getting even more value from it.

Our home was always a happy buzz of activity which is a great way to grow up.

Getting a trampoline for your kids is a great idea. It will be important to choose the best trampoline for kids and to take note of trampoline safety guidelines.

If you have a very young child, or you want to make use of trampoline benefits inside, you could consider getting a kids trampoline with bar.

Here are some trampoline benefits for kids that you really should take note of:

  1. Trampolines Encourage Outdoor Play

Being outdoors is so healthy for children and adults alike, having a trampoline will encourage your children to play outside instead of spending all their time indoors. Fresh air and sunshine goes a very long way to keeping your children physically, mentally and emotionally healthy.

  1. Trampolines Encourage Physical Activity

Research shows that children are becoming less active and this is partly due to children spending so much time on smart phones, ipads and computers. This sedentary lifestyle is simply not healthy for children.

Having a trampoline encourages your children to not only put down their devices but also to go outside and get active. The best part about the trampoline is that it is fun and doesn’t feel like exercise. Spending a bit of time jumping on a trampoline every day will increase your child’s health and fitness dramatically.

Studies have shown that jumping on a trampoline burns more calories than jogging, making this an excellent form of exercise for you and your children.

  1. Improved Strength and Overall Health

Regular trampoline jumping with improve your child’s muscle strength, improve flexibility and also increase bone density.

Jumping on a trampoline is said to also detox your body, pushing toxins out of your body and moving nutrients into your cells. This means that along with being fit and stronger your immune system will also be stronger.

  1. Improved Gross Motor Skills

Jumping on a trampoline requires whole body movement, using the body’s core and strengthening it. Your child will learn how to balance and will become better coordinated.

Improved gross motor skills will impact your child’s development in terms of fine motor skills and help your child with all the new day to day tasks they will be needing to learn and implement in his or her life.

If your child is learning new physical skills like jumping on the trampoline this has an overall impact on all learning, which means your child will be better able to cope in the class room and learn new things. There is a link between physical body control and visual movement and the ability to learn.

  1. Improved Posture

As mentioned previously when your child is jumping on a trampoline their muscles and body core strengthens. This helps to improve your child’s posture, along with balance and improved gross motor skills.

Good posture is essential to your child’s health and will help in keeping your child healthy. Having bad posture can lead to being prone to illness and injury.

Along with all of those physical benefits for your child jumping on a trampoline will also increase your child’s self confidence. With learning new skills in such a fun and easy way your child’s self esteem will improve too.

Having a trampoline at your house will also encourage your kids and their friends to spend more time at your home where you can keep an eye on them. It will also ensure that your kids socialize with other children since they will be coming over regularly.

I highly recommend that you get a trampoline for your family. It will help you to get fit and lose weight from home too, which is an added bonus.
