4 Tips to Get In Shape Just in Time For Summer by Eating Right and Exercising

With beach season just right around the corner in the US, more and more people are starting to look at their weight. Getting ready for the summer can be a bit stressful for a person that has a good bit of weight to lose. Finding information on dieting and healthy living from a reputable source like thyroidpharmacist.com is essential in getting down to your goal weight. There are a variety of things that you will have to remember when it comes to losing weight in order to be successful. The following are some of the things that you will need to remember when trying to have success with your fitness goals.

4 Tips To Get In Shape Just In Time For Summer By Eating Right and Exercising

  1. Avoid Falling For a Quick Fix

Among the biggest problems that a person will face when trying to lose weight is falling for a quick fix diet. The best way to ensure that you lose the weight needed is by doing it the old fashioned way with a good diet and rigorous exercise routine. The effort that you put into this process will be more than worth it in the end. Trying to make these types of fad diets work is nearly impossible and will usually just lead to becoming disillusioned with the whole process.

Generally, a fad diet will take weight off temporarily. The only way you will be able to lose weight and keep it off is by making a lifestyle change.

  1. Stay Off of the Scale

Another very common mistake that a person will make when trying to lose weight is that they stay on the scale constantly. There is no shortcut to losing weight and trying to get results in a day is setting yourself up for failure. By taking the time to stay off of the schedule and let your weight loss happen organically, you will be able to stay much happier. At most, you should only weigh yourself once every two weeks just to chart your progress. The time that you waste getting on the scale can better be spent exercising or preparing a healthy meal.

  1. You Have to Stay Consistent

The next thing that you will have to think about when trying to have success in this undertaking is to stay as consistent as you can. The last thing that you want to do is to start exercising and then stop due to the fact that this can cause damage. You will never be able to lose weight if you do not stay consistent. Be sure to consult with a medical professional to get some information regarding what you need to do to achieve your weight loss goals. They will usually be able to give you information on exercises you can do and foods that you need to eat. Getting this type of guidance will make it much easier on you to get the right results from the work you put in.

  1. Addressing Any Health Issues

There may be times when you are unable to lose weight regardless of how much you diet and workout. Rather than letting this deter you, seeking out some medical help is the best way to address these problems. In some cases, your inability to lose weight may be caused by thyroid issues or other health problems. The only way to address these problems is by getting some medical help. A doctor will be able to help you find the right medication or remedy to fix the issues you are facing. The longer you wait to get the underlying cause of your weight loss problem addressed, the more damage you will inevitably do to your body.

The more information that you area able to get from professionals in the industry, the easier you will find it to see results. Neglecting to get some opinions from your doctor can lead to a variety of different health consequences along the way.

  1. Hi there Kaboutjie mom’s?
Let me jump right in, Sometimes quick fixes or fad diets are the simplest thing around to reach your goal weight in record time. For me, I drank a ginger, cayenne pepper and honey tonic for two weeks in the morning and evening and I must say detoxification works. Plus it only took two weeks to pick up the difference. So as much as we shouldn’t choose ridiculous diets and gym regime’s we ought to look out for good quick fixes that won’t break the bank or your health ?

    • Oh yes Whitney! I tried my first “fad diet” with a detox drink and it worked like a bomb, 3,9kg down in 7 days… I put on another kg though since starting to eat normally again but geez still lost weight right. I am going to do it again starting Monday for a week and see how it goes 🙂

    • Thanks for the tip. I’ve heard that ginger is very effective if you’re trying to lose weight and it also has many health benefits. I’m going to try this for sure.

    • Hello… how much of each product should be use for this tonic?

  2. I agree Whitney. You mentally need that boost of seeing an immediate result which the detox gives you. It motivates you to stick to a healthy eating plan and thereafter it is easier to make sacrifices as you have already seen some positive result. That tiny bit of self confidence goes a long way.

    • YES!! I know what you mean by that. My first day of detox I found a little hard, then when I weighed myself in the morning and saw I had lost 1.8kg in 24 hours I was whistling with happiness mixing up my detox drink and it went down so much easier. I am still not sure how much is because I was more used to it and how much was because I was so happy!

      • Mind over matter after having seen proof that it works!! I’m jealous about your success. I’m trying very hard not to fret over my weight gain during this pregnancy. Its a lot more than the first time around. Then its breastfeeding for a year. I am that one exception to the rule- I gain weight whilst breastfeeding.

  3. These tips are really helpful and so true. Since a young age (teens) I’ve always tried to keep my weight in check. Over the years I’ve tried quick fix diets or diet pills and other aids that promise results. But as I got older I’ve learnt that weight loss is not my biggest priority in life and as soon as I except myself and be happy with the person that I am, I will be in a better place all together. I met my life partner when I was 31, just when I’ve made peace with the fact that my pot probably has no lid. 🙂 This year we will be together for 10 years (a whole decade!!) and married for six years. I’ve decided to start following a more healthy lifestyle since October of last year. Not for anyone else, but for myself. I’ve just started cutting out on sugar and starch, drinking more water and I’ve started eating more fresh fruit and vegetables. I’ve lost 8 kg so far and quite a few centimeters. I must say, it really feels great to put on some of my clothes and they are too big for me now. I allow myself a treat every now and again. I am a chocoholic of note, so every now and again I eat a chocolate and then I thoroughly enjoy it. I am planning on losing more weight this year. The eating plan that I follow, is not too difficult. I don’t feel hungry all the time or feel like I’m punishing myself trying to reach my goal. Your mindset is very important as well. If you say to yourself you can do it and you are not too hard on yourself, it most certainly is doable.

    • Kudos to you Elize, coz self-love and appreciation are the most important things you could ever do for yourself. Going forward with your positive mind it’s hard to see why you wouldn’t succeed ❤

  4. I agree with not stepping on the scale too much. I did that and it made me depressed, i was losing centimeters but wasn’t still so obsessed with the scale. Now i measure myself instead. That made me feel more positive

  5. Thanks for these tips. That can be really helpful. I’ve been eating healthy the past 2 weeks. First week I lost 3.8kg and I was so amped. Last week a whopping 100g. I was so discussed in my body that I decided I need a treat ?.

I think must just start next week with the detox mix you just gave about the ginger.

Elize hats of to you. You can be proud of yourself.

I think the scale and my mind is my worst enemies. I will weigh on Monday again and the only in 2 weeks.

    Thanks moms.

agree quick fixes and diets dont work in the long run, you just tend to put on more weight then you did before, eating healthy and exercises is the key 🙂 but really did wish there was a magic pill we could take hee hee
